Since opening the Lords Online Alpha Test on December 3, IGG has received a lot of good suggestions and feedback from players. The dev team has been working to fix bugs and improve features as reports are collected. Looking ahead, they have now finalized their schedule for the second full week of the Alpha Test phase.
During the week, the developers will focus on improving certain systems, such as the combat system. The combat system has gone through three major upgrades, gradually improving with each iteration. This time their focus will be modifying the values of soldiers to achieve a balance among the armies of different races. The attack bonus for Physical Attack soldiers on short-ranged Magic Attack soldiers will be increased, while the long-ranged Magic Attack soldiers will be a nightmare for Physical Attack soldiers. Short-ranged Magic Attack soldiers will have certain advantages against long-ranged Magic Attack soldiers.
Changes to combat control will improve the game’s RTS features. They will also introduce a morale element that can increase the attack power of a player’s heroes and armies. The greater a hero’s or army’s morale, the better their attack power will be. This function is still in development.
To allow Alpha Test players to gain EXP quicker, they will be able to claim a considerable number of game coins and packages each day during the test phase. After listening to testers’ suggestions, the LO team will also be adding Heroic items into the game, such as the 2X EXP Card, Revival Card, and a number of resource bonus items, all of which can be obtained from in-game events.
Last but not least, Alpha Test players can now visit the official site to join the “Hunt Bug and Win iPod” event. It’s a great opportunity for players to try to win an iPod, Amazon card, or many other surprising prizes. Join the Lords Online Alpha Test to help IGG squash bugs and refine features while enjoying a sneak peek at this highly anticipated new fantasy world.
